I for one preferred the software plugin for that game, of course you can try and play with different filters and settings though one of the best things to do is set the resolution (unless your playing window mode) to your screen's resolution, here's some screens: http://forums.ngemu.com/general-scre...reenshots.html

Unless plugins are improved you can't get perfect image for 3D games. Reason being no plugin does a perfect job for background AND characters.

Just sayin'.... I own em both and know both by heart... I'm surprised no one mentioned this. O.o

Btw, since I'm here, anyone know how to get Breath of Fire IV AND Chrono Cross working on the emulator?
I HAVE the disc for BOFIV.... and I backed up the disc for Chrono Cross... *before it accidentally got scratched* yet all I get is the title screen, start screen, and black screen of nothing.

hi !

Fantastic work!
Thanks for this , Dakaran.

But I don`t get the same results , like you and I tried anything , but Chrono Cross ( for example ) is pixelated and nothing helps.!!!

I ask you , can you upload your emu and your plugin`s and your settings in one package .

Thanks for it !!!

bye , Smyrre

Hi guys,

I'm still lurking around from time to time when I can get online writing some guides on game stuff but this emulator stuff is from a newbie perspective who learned from zero knowledge.

I guess I can do a backup but usually I just use the maximum settings for my PC hardware. You got to play games in 1920 x 1080 to have best graphics because I use HD all the time to get those results. My config works with Nvidia/Intel PC because I tested it with the computer I currently use but it's a lot of tweaking with the settings to get the screenshots and graphics I got in the emulator. If people would improve a ton their shaders it would also greatly help.

geforce 470 gtx.
CSAA 32x
AF16x AA
Transparency 8x
pre-rendered frames 8
max quality shaders
everything else All max.

My computer has SSD drives, geforce 470 gtx, 6 gig of ram and overall good computer for gaming with windows 7 64-bits ultimate.

Thank you very much for your wonderful contributions Dakaran! You just saved this emulator noob *points to self* a whole lot of hassle in finding the right video/shader set-up. My Final Fantasy Tactics (Rebirth) enjoyment has been increased exponentially and I plan to apply your helpful advice to the rest of my ol' collection of PlayStation CD's! Thank you again Dakaran, your effort put into finding the configurations and then sharing them is much appreciated!
