Unhappy epsxe 1.7.0 controller problems

I honestly don't know if it's the game that's having trouble recognizing it or what, but when I attempted to play Digimon World 2, it would not recognize analog inputs AND start button inputs when Analog is on. I use an Xbox controller and it seems to work with my other games. (I've played Spyro 1 and 2, Digimon Rumble Arena, Monster Rancher Card, Digimon Card and others to no ill effect.)

I press F5 to turn analog on and all the sudden, my start button doesn't work and I'm getting no reaction from my control stick.

I prefer to use my analog stick, but if I have to use my d-pad, fine.

If your controller is well configured, then it depends on if the game actually supports analogs or not.
