NeoGeoX handheld confirmed, pricey
No comment. Its specs are even mediocre compared to Vita, yet appeals only to the dumbest of the 1%. The only games known to run on it will be pre-loaded (only 20 old games). Here's a list of those if you cant contain your excitement: - Art of Fighting - Baseball Stars - Cyber Lip - Fatal Fury - Fatal Fury Special - Football Frenzy - King of the Monsters - Last Resort - League Bowling - Magician Lord - Metal Slug - Mutation Slug - Mutation Nation - Nam 1975 - Samurai Shodown - Sengoku - Super Sidekicks - The King of Fighters '94 - The Ultimate 11 - Top Players Golf - World Heroes Mutation nation ![]() http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...ice-tag-mooted |

Anything higher than 150$ would be highway robbery. That they considered spinning their own hardware rather than release on existing platforms essentially condemns their whole effort to premature, quick death. The maker Blaze is also releasing a similar device this month (the "GameGadget") for around 150$ that plays/downloads retro titles, so its probably as fairly priced, but still. The original lineup is still mediocre, even if you can buy the rest from an online store. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/gameg...release/090325 Quote:

Aren't most of these titles on the PSP? I think I have at least 1/2 the list on my PSP legally! - Art of Fighting - Baseball Stars - Fatal Fury - King of the Monsters - League Bowling - Magician Lord - Metal Slug - Samurai Shodown - Sengoku - The King of Fighters '94 - World Heroes

Rebuy them again and again and again in cartidge form and on everything that has an app store. Don't forget their HD Remakes too when they're available. |

Not rebuying games over and over again is unpatriotic. Plus, worse than used games and piracy combined, as it contributes more significantly to the collapse of the videogame industry. ...somewhere down the road, I expect SNK to actually try pulling such cards for real. Does anyone even give a damn about such ultraold games long since superseded by superior episodes? I mean, KOF '94, really? |

Off topic, some arcade salesperson "gave" me a King of Fighters 94 FOR FREE with a KOF95 PCB cart, because the KOF94 was "scuffed." $29.99 for both carts shipping included. I also "won" an Art of Fighting PCB Cart for $2.99 because nobody bid on the thing but me. NOTE to SNK, not may people are even willing to pay the $6.99 I shelled out for your Sony games, let alone the $9.99 you want for Wii Neo Geo games, particularly when the KOF, SS, and MS packs for the Wii could be had for $19.99 or less.

To be honest, I'd rather grab a PSP for the price they're asking, and emulate whatever doesn't run natively. New or used, these things are rather cheap (everywhere but here, but anyway).

And videogame companies wonder why piracy is so widespread.

drop a zero from that 500 and they're on the right mark (comparing it to similar Megadrive and Master System handhelds from Sega)

First companies start pulling games from the VC little by little and now this? Sad. I'll be keeping my ROMs, thank you. Now I feel like posting a video on youtube just to rub it in their faces. Sega just announced they'd be pulling a few Sonic games from the Japanese VC http://www.nintendolife.com/news/201...om_japanese_vc

They really gotta hate money. Regarding Sonic, this might have been a move to make a compilation (to rebuy, obviously), or reduce 'brand dilution' with mediocre Sonic games taking sales from the more succesful titles and reducing satisfaction. |

I'm glad I have the Gamecube Genesis collection, although the Wii U won't be able to play it. I wonder if there will be a Sega Genesis Collection for the Wii U?

Seeing as how there's been a Sega Genesis Collection since the days of the Sega CD (the original one came with Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Columns and Shinobi) I'm pretty sure one'll pop up for the Wii U~.

To be honest $32 for 4 Sonic games is a bit extreme when I paid ~$11 for 40 on the PC Sega Genesis Gold Collection.

To be honest, the Sonic collection on the Sega Saturn wasn't that great, and the YM2612 emulation was meh at best. Both Sonic Mega Collection and the Gold Collection get the sound emulation right.

I'm getting to the point where I've bought the Sega Genesis collection "enough" times. Even if its on the Wii U, I don't think I'll buy (or pirate) it. I have the DS collection, I can play it on my PC legally, I have the Sega Genesis collection on the PSP and I can play the DS collection on a 3DS when I get one. I think that enough Sonic for me.
