This is nice and all but the source is still the same: http://www.byuu.org/ regardless from where you had your info first.

I guess he had a serious case (literally) of bad luck, but even then I do share some of the sentiments.

Strike105X , I post relevant news here because this forum badly lacks it, and very few other people seem to do anything about it. And when I do, I am probably always going to plug my own website, as I am not a ngemu news poster. I think most people here know where to find bsnes if they are concerned about the news source.

Its not a mater of people knowing where to find bsnes, its a mater of the actual fact being that you didn't release it nor are responsible for the news but byuu is, thus the source being byuu.org not your site no mater how you want to sugar coat it.

Again, I am not posting an official news story, I am posting a forum post. This is me “sharing” news, perhaps for people who don’t check in at many emulator websites as frequently as I do. On my website, where I do consider a front page news post “official” news, I do post the source.

Likewise, if I see the news on another emulation website first, I would probably plug their website the same just to encourage people to visit it. It’s a friendly thing to do, it encourages community throughout the emulation scene, and I very much appreciate it when people do the same for me.

I don’t think being so critical here is in anyone’s best interest. If you don’t like my forum posts, then don’t read them.
