Kingdom Hearts Issue
Hello, everyone - I'm having a bit of a problem and after searching the forum and trying what felt like a dozen different suggestions from previous posts, I've come up with a whole lot of nothing. My basic problem is I'm trying to run Kingdom Hearts from the CD (I have yet to try making an ISO). If I run it with ZeroGS 0.97.0, the game will run fine until after I click on new game (The sound chugs, starts skippin; FPS plummets quite a bit). If I run with GsDX; the game crashes before even starting (resulting in the Microsoft error report option.) I'm going to try to post all relavent info here; please let me know if anything else is needed. Specs: Intel Core2 6700 2.66Ghz 2GB DDR2 ATI x1950 XT 512MB Vista 32bit Running latest version of PCSX2 Updated GsDX attached are screens of my config window and the ZeroGS plugin (which has been the most successful of the two graphics plugins.) I guess one question I have is regarding patches - do I need to do anything beyond selected "Enable Patches" from the main screen in order to use a patch? Are they all loaded? Anyway; I appreciate the help in advance - if more info is needed, let me know. |

Try Using ZeroSPU instead P.E.Op.S SPU and check the first option on the plugin

Interesting; I changed my CD plugin Caching mode to Async... then went into ZeroGS and selected Disable Multiple RTs and now I only get that stuttering at the main screen. However, now during the intro movie (at least) the music plays then seems like it jumps, then plays for a few seconds,t hen jumps, then plays, then jumps, etc, etc. Still doing that after changing to ZeroSPU and selecting Time Scaling as per your suggestion. I'll try waiting out the intro movie and see if the jumping occurs beyond that in the actual game. |

Try enabling Real Time Mode again in ZeroSPU config, also try ZeroSPU 0.4.6(it in Public Beta download selection),try limiting the speed in CPU configuration...running the game from the disk may case those skipping problems, try making ISO

Thanks for the help thus far; I burned the disk to an ISO, set Limited speed in CPU... still getting those little jumps in the music though; running at about 60, 61fps steadily. With the ISO, however; the stuttering at the main screen is gone. Very odd. |

I think the little jumps in the movie can't be helped (until they develop the sound-plugin further). I have them, too.
