Talking Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (E) [PSP]

Been playing this game for some significant time now..and by significant I mean over 400 hours of gameplay, my excuse? Well I didn't have any internet for 40 days

So what does this mean, well...I've got bucket loads of screenshots, and silly rare armor etc Probably one of the finest and most enjoyable games on the PSP to date, and I can't wait for future incarnations of it.

The PS2 server for Monster Hunter has been taken down, which is incredibly annoying given the work PCSX2's GiGaHeRz put into getting it working, and the hours of fun the team had playing (testing ) it. So I'm now playing with Refraction via Xlink Kai, shots from our adventures will probably be posted in this thread at some point, for now, here's a random selection of some "hunting" moments!.

Few more here, first one demonstrates how a Rajang suffers when the fearless Trio of Cloud, Griff an Kismet get together!

Second image...me and Hermitaur just rapping..well we where, till I killed it...oops!

Next pair...erm well...how did he get there

Me vs Mini Kut-Ku, needless to say, I've got nothing against killing babies!

Looks awesome! It's one of the games I still need to play as well, lack of time and abundance of other games is keeping me from picking it up. Also, does this game require a 333mHz PSP? Mine might just fry its wifi chip if I'd do that.

MH has always been one of these games which is really not demanding, despite its pretty looks.

i run my chip at default and its fine, even with remotejoy streaming the video to my pc

With some fiddling and a few moments of baning head against desk, dodgey gifs are no longer needed!....Video baby, yeah!

How you do that? You use remotejoy right? I'm using remotejoy from irshell 3.81 and try with fraps but it didn't work. What software you use?

Camtasia which can capture from SDL windows. Its a case of:

RemoteJoySDL (3.71 M33 updated version) streaming to an SDL window on my desktop.
Line In cable connected from PSP headphone socket to PC line in socket.
Camtasia Captures Audio from line in and captures the SDL window, only needs a few settings tweaked to get the desired output, set it to capture at 30 FPS, pick your poison for video codecs and make sure its using Line in, not Mic etc.

Uff talking of cables, I recorded this with the line in a touch too loud This video is me facing off against a Monoblos. Made a few silly mistakes that got me hit a couple of times, but otherwise victory and a funny finish was mine!

I have a really hard time trying to get this to work with Xkai... some times it works other times doesn't and it's just a major pain so I gave up. It's kinda boring playing it solo though.

Kai is a pain in the neck, i find loading the gathering hall then opening kai is the most successful way of starting it up, the other way it tends to stop scanning for the psp.
