Question PS2 controller with Linux?

That title probably made no sense, sorry <_<

Well, the problem is....I can't use my playstation 2 controller with PCSX2 in Linux Ubuntu Feisty 7.04.

Yes, its installed, and everything works perfectly, I have a PS2 controller > USB adaptor, and Ubuntu seems to recognize that its a joystick.

However both plugins that came with 0.9.3 don't work on my controller, I managed to get it set-up on Windows, but what I tried there doesn't seem to work...

So I guess what I'm asking is...is such a thing possible? What magical plugin would I have to use...or what else would I have to do?

Thanks. I've been prowling around the forums looking for an answer, it's either well hidden, not there, or I am a poor at looking.

By the way, thanks for PCSX2, It's great
