ePSXe problem w/ loading (black screen)

Please read carefully ok?

My PC specs are:

P4 2.26 Ghz Processor
768 RAM
GeForce4 MX 440 Videocard

Plugins are
Pete's Open GL 2 (video)
Eternal SPU (sound)
BIOS SCPH 1001

I installed everything plus the plugins. I load games from the image I got from Alcohol 120%. (.iso files)

But the problem here is when I'm playing a game for example Chrono Cross, when I press the menu (circle) button to see my characters. It just goes black screen and it takes very long time for it to load..... I was frustrated because I tried on the other emulator it has no problems when I press menu button. Don't recommend me to play on that emu because I know this emu is still the best.....

Can anyone solve this? The problem here is similar to other games I played like FF8 or FF9. When it loads, black screen always appear and it may load or just hangs depending on the game. It may sound a joke but I face this problem.

Maybe you guys had solve this in the past. Reply is greatly appreciated. Thx.
