Parasite Eve 1 freezes during fmv near end of game

Well, i have played through almost the whole game, now im on cd 2, in the museum for the third time, searching for eve. after having turned off the alarm and walking back out, a fmv starts, and the game freezes some seconds into that fmv..

im playing an iso version, but i've also tried mounting it with daemon tools. also tried ssspsx but same problem. quite annoying since i never got this far when playing it on the real psx =\

any ideas?
