KH Minimal Requirements
Hi there I was wondering about the development of PCSX2 for quite sometime, and now that i came back here, im glad to see such amazing goals reached and more coming... Now, im nto all that intense into emulation or coding... my main goal for this emulator would be to play Kingdon Hearts 1 on a tolerable speed (30fps?) This is so that i may have a medium to compare if my CPU can actually put up with this kind of emulation... because if it dosent, i just might as well go away and only return when i have a better PC in hand (probably having acess to a more modern release of the emulator too... ofcourse) So i just would like to know if someone please could tell me just how much am i behind on PC spec to be able to run Kingdon Hearts on my PC at around 25-30 Fps Semprom 2.5 128 Ram FX-5200 128 Also, does it makes a difference of which Bios i have? Because my PS2 is one of the earlier models (Before the Slim) and i still need to learn how to dump its Bios on my PC, but if this bios dosent work well, then im not even going to put myself on the work for it... |

your pc is very behind. this is my suggested spec for playing KH at a speed which will drop to about 30fps at lowest during gameplay Athlon X2 4000+ or Intel Conroe E6300 512mb Ram (1gb preferred) Nvidia 6600 or 7600 (and above) or ATi X1800 and above below that you might find it quite slow. as for the bios, use your own, as long as you dont have a Japan V1.0 console you're fine, there is a guide in the FAQ telling you how to do it, alternative method is getting PS2link, ethernet adapter and swap magic and dumping that way.
