help please! dvd drive not configured??!

ok ive thought id give pcsx2 a go. when i load up the emu, and try to start a game, it says dvd drive is not configured? whats going on here, how do i get past it? any help given would be much appreciated. thanks again guys

Try reading the configuration guide.

tried reading that mate, doesnt really help me. ive configured the dcdvd plugins as suggested but still getting the same message. any other ideas???

Well, you haven't said which CDVD plugin you're attempting to use and whether you're attempting to run an actual disc or an image file. I'd need to know these things in order to help.

sorry mate, using EPP iso driver 0.6. tried both with an iso image on my hd, and also treid with a burnt copy of this iso. just noticed that in the output window its saying: -

"rom 2 not found"

"erom not found"

isnt the erom something to do with the dvd drive??

Your best bet is to either use LinuzISO for that image, or run the original disc (more reliable than a burnt copy) from your DVD drive using PeOPs CDVD (making sure it's configured for your version of Windows and drive letter of your DVD drive).

PeOPs CDVD doesn`t work for me. I configured it the right way but it says "Error Opening CDVD Plugin". Can anybody help. I can run an image over EPP iso driver 0.6, but it runs too slow.

And what app did you use to rip the image with? It sounds like you may have a bad image on your hands. Best advice is to attempt ripping it again.
