Parasite Eve 1 freezes during fmv near end of game

Well, i have played through almost the whole game, now im on cd 2, in the museum for the third time, searching for eve. after having turned off the alarm and walking back out, a fmv starts, and the game freezes some seconds into that fmv..

im playing an iso version, but i've also tried mounting it with daemon tools. also tried ssspsx but same problem. quite annoying since i never got this far when playing it on the real psx =\

any ideas?

Is it a PAL or NTSC version? Have you tried reripping the disc?

yes, i did read the faq.
and i dont know if its pal or ntsc.. i actually downloaded it off the net. i do have the original game but the second disc has been unplayable for nearly 10 years now.

maybe theres a problem with the iso i've got, i dont know. but i can't seem to find another example of it on the net, and i have a small hope theres an easy solution for this problem.

too bad, because we don't support piracy. Buy the game and read the rules.

As stated above, it is illegal to download games and we don't support piracy.

It has been proven many times that downloaded ISOs are pretty crappy and people usually have a lot of problems with them,
if you want to finish that game i really suggest that you buy the game.
