FF7 Couple of Questions
I read the FAQ, but still have some questions 1) When using ePSXe 1.60 with the ff plugins: Video : Peops Soft Driver 1.17 Window 640 x 480 Stretching 1:1 Dithering No FPS Limit Auto Detect FPS Scanline Disabled Use system memory Activate Special Game Fixes Sound Eternal SPU Plugin 1.10 Enable Sound Enable CDDA Enable XA FF7 Wont load and I get an error, weird for a soft plugin I attached an image of it 2.) When using Petes OpenGL2 Drivers,Using the Best Config for FF7 in the FAQ, the game wont load I just get a black screen and it stays there.. 3.) When using the normal OGL drivers with the ff settings window 640 480 textture quality - dont care Texture fultering 3 Hi Res 0 Gfx Vram autodetect FPS Limit FPs autodetect Compatibility 0 in everything Alpha multipass Mask Bit Advanced blending Misc Special Game fixes The game loads but I dont see the screen with the Sony LLC , I just go straight to the squaresoft logo.. And it take long about 10 seconds .. Also, the opening FMV is rather slow and choppy too.. Using epSXE 1.52 it runs flawlessly although sound is a bit choppy like its reading.. The sony logo is a buildt-in feature of the playstation itself, and since epsxe isn't really a playstation you don't have to be tormented by that logo. In pete's OpenGL enable "unfiltered framebuffer updates" as for sound use "Eternal SPU plugin 1.41 and enable "CDDA sound" and "XA sound" and in the configure enable "update before accessing register".

If you really like that Sony LCC logo, try activating a -slowboot switch to it.
