Talking Legend of Dragoon & ePSXe

Well, here's some Screenshots of Legend of Dragoon on the great ePSXe emulator. Some people say it couldn't be done, but with the right BIOS & plugins, it can work... here's my system specs:

PII 350, 128MB RAM, Windows XP/98 (I dual boot occasionally), 12MB Voodoo 2, ePSXe Plugins: Lewpie's 3dfx/glide GPU 1.35 plugin, Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.10, and a Kazzuya's cdr plugin... and BIOS 7502.

Well, I believe it has to do with my system specs. If you look at the first post, I displayed my specs. I tried it with 1001, and it wouldn't work... Most of my other games work with it... just not this one. I don't know why. I'm not complaining, I have a lot of different BIOS files, so I can pick & choose. I'm just glad I can play it on my PC with the updated graphics. It will be even better when I build my own system.

How do you get those huge images with so little byte size. If I take a screen shot of Age of Empires II (for example) the blasted thing comes out to 1.27MB each. And is about as big as the images above.

I am working on my web page and the images just take up too much space. They are small scrawny things that take up about 357Kb each! They are only a fraction of the size as the above images.

Any help on how to shrink the file size (without shrinking the image) would be GREATLY appreciated!

Use a JPEG format to save your pictures but you will lose quality.

Well, here's the plugin information I use to get my games working with ePSXe:

BIOS Version: 7502
GPU Plugin: Lewpy's 3dfx/glide 1.35 (Because I have a voodoo 2 card)
Sound Plugin: ePSXe Core 1.4.0 (Default works fine)
CD-ROM Plugin: Now, I have two operating systems, Win98 & WinXP, with Win98
I use the Barrett-Kazzuya CDR Driver 1.1 plugin. For XP I use the ePSXe CDR
WNT/W2K core 1.4.0. because XP uses the Windows 2000 core.

I don't configure any of the plugins, except the CDROM one, because I have to designate what Drive letter it uses. But that's it. Also with this game, in order to get it working in the first place, you have to make sure "SIO IRQ Always Enabled" isn't checked so you can push start on your chosen controller. An easy way to do this while the game is running, is push F4. You have re-enable it to show the menu's and load/save a game. Again, in-game just push F4. If anyone requires further information, please don't hesitate to send me an email, or post here.
