Gah! Frustrations!

Okay this is driving me nuts. Obviously, it's not terribly difficult to dump/flash your Dreamcast's BIOS, but games must be a different story. If normal CD/DVD drives can't read GD-ROMs, how are people managing to dump game info and create self-bootable images? Is it just as "simple" as ripping the Dreamcast's drive from the guts of the system and somehow managing to connect an IDE cable, and finally finding some way to get a PC to read that as a drive in order to get the data?

It's done by using a cable which connects your Dreamcast to your Pc. Then using software to dump the game into an iso onto your HD. There are lots of information around the web on how to do it.

Hmm...I guess I really didn't do my homework on this one huh? I suppose that's much easier, if not much less interesting than destroying the console and scrapping together some mutant of a drive for your PC.

If you have enough knowledge to make a mutant CDROM drive for your computer I think you would have enough to write a driver for it.
