Suikoden 2 problem

Hi, is there anyone who has or playing suikoden 2 now? I need someone to pass certain "place or a length of the story" for me. I was in Maltida castle, i was suppose to steal a flag and burn it in the siege, inside the castle, where there is a stairs to go up to after a battle with the white knights, my screen goes black and thats it. Im not sure whats the problem, could be the cd since i dont have much problem with the game so far. I have the save state, so if anyone willing to help out, drop me a message. Thank you.

have u tried making an iso and playing with that. Or u can try with 1.5.2 and see if that works for u.
