FF4 problems on PS2 and Epsxe

Hi im having problems with ff4.
On the ps2 I cant save to my memory card, it says that I dont have one inserted which I do, the same goes for ff5.
I can save normal ps2 games to memory card and other ps1 games but not ff4 or 5.

On the emulator im having control problems, fisrt of all it moves one step more then I want it to so I cant access anywhere.
Also im having graphics problems, at the intro when Cecil fights the 3 eye critters and uses inferno it doesnt display it properly black marks are over some of the text, when the battle is over all other text on the airhsip has black text over some of the letters.
im using the following for the video.
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.5

Aslo on ff5 im getting some strange nosises the music doesnt play how it should do, im using P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.7
and have the follwing ticked.
Enable Sound
Enable CDDA
Enable XA
Mode: Highly compatiable
volume: Medium
Reverb: PSX reverb best quality.
Interpolation: 2. Guassian

XA Muisc, enable XP playing
Change XA speed

misc
SPU IRQ
Enable developer debug mode
enable sound recorder.



any help you can give would be great!

you could try another plugin like Pete's D3D plugin. OpenGL2 is mainly for DX9 cards and IIRC a Radeon 9000 is a DX8?
For sound you could try Eternal SPU 1.4

aniway, as for the PS2 not beeing able to detect a memory card...thats weird..
