Problem With Megaman X4

Here is my problem:

The game loads fine (running from an ISO), but when it gets to the title screen, non of the buttons on my pad respond. THe pad works fine in X5 and X6 and in other games like Tekken and all of my PC games (all NTSC). The pad I am using is a Thrustmaster Dual Power with 3.10.7 drivers from the company. Is this normal, or am I missing something?

you have tried pressing f4? ... if dont work press f5
