Final Fantasy 9 won't work

When I put the cd inside the CD-ROM and tries to start the emulation I get some text on the screen, and then it says patching game - not found. What is wrong?

Where are your from? European versions need to be patched in order to run correctly. Files and instructions are available at www.aldotools.com/ff9.html . Make sure you get the correct language version.
