Controller + Video Issues

Hey guys, long time reader\follower, first time poster so go easy on me

Have been trying for the past 3 hours to get epsxe to run and I have two outstanding problems:

A) Controllers - Work for some games and not others. My daughter is mad to play pong (we had this game yonkes ago but lost the disc) however, none of the buttons work.

I have tried toggling f5, no joy. Also configured correctly as other games work.
Same happens in ISS 98, controls just dont work.

B) Video - Cannot for the life of me able to get full screen. Here are my settings:

I have tried 2.9 version also. I am always missing the top 1/8 of the picture and missing the left hand side also. I have tried every setting and still to no avail. Its like as the picture is pushed up to the top right of my screen, if that makes since

THanks for your help

I have fixed the controller issue, just deselected multitap.

Does this mean that you cannot play a 4 player game using epsex?

Thanks.

P.S Still have the bloody video issue. Picture is still pushed up to the top right, I can see my desktop on the bottom and right side. Any way to centre the picture?

Thanks

Well, for multitap to work well (if it works well at all) it must be used with a compatible game and you should map all the controllers that are going to be used. For two players, just use the normal way of one controller per port.

As for the fullscreen issue, what exactly is the problem? Just set the fullscreen resolution equal to your desktop resolution. That should work for a start.

thanks KrossX for your reply.

My Res is 1980 X 1080 and no matter what I set the res to, I am still missing 10% of the picture, even if I select open in the window option.

The picture is pushed to the top right so I am missing the top of the picture. Really annoying

This is with the newest 2.9 video plugin, however I selected another one and it does seem to work, but it has limited options.

Disable the widescreen fix (if enabled), click the fast button and set the stretching mode to zero. Then if it still doesn't work, post a screenshot of fullscreen and one in windowed mode too please. Also, see if it happens when you run the BIOS too.

Also, Right click on the ePSXe executable file, go to the Compatibility Tab, and check "Disable display scaling on High DPI modes" amke sure it is on...

Also, if you want to, keep the Widscreen Fix option on, and set windowed mode to 1620x1080. Then set the Flicker Border to 1 or 3
