Pokemon ranger: guardian signs help!

Hello!

I've been playing the game for a while and I am in the mission related to Latios. The main problem is that I can't click on the ranger sign to draw the symbol and get Latios help or any other pokemon help. It's now a dark icon that does nothing no matter how many times I click on it. I've been using some AR codes in no$gba but they had been working perfectly all the time. I have no clue why that changed now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I don't want to restart my game
