Help With a Patch
I've patched Celdia's Complete Patch to my Final Fantasy Tactics iso in psxfin, and everytime I load it it says it failed to read .cue file. I've never had that problem with the original game or the LFT patch. I tried ePSXe but I had so many issues with that emulator (basically, it kept freezing up at the Squaresoft screen), and I really like the simplicity of psxfin. I've tried looking for answers but they all say to make a text file with FILE "FINAL FANTASY TACTICS.bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 in it in the same folder as the ISO and the emulator still says the same thing. Any help please? I really wanna play this patch. I've heard amazing things about it. |

what i mean is you got a .cue file and a .bin file, run the .bin file directly and see if it works

It doesn't have one. I unzipped the file originally. It came up with another file which I'm able to use to load the original game. The problem is that once the patch is put on said file, it gives me that message. |

sigh, what files did you get prepatched, did check the readme or nfo file included with the patch to check the iso is correct region and correct file format for the patch because if not you will only get errors... oh dont bother converting the iso to the format for the patch, it will also result in error, you have to rip the game to correct iso format... and lastly it seems you downloaded the iso of final fantasy tactics, if its not the case what software you have used to rip the game, if its downloaded than one thing you havent read the forum rules, no support here for piracy, buy it and rerip it for support here and the other thing is that it can be a bad copy, i mean it can run fine but it may have errors later on and hence why the patch wont work |

I had an ISO, but when I was talking to a friend of mine about the issue he suggested ripping the image from his copy of the game, which I did. With SOPA being voted on I didn't wanna take any chances. I used Nero. Also, the patch didn't come with a readme. I checked the site for the patch a while back and it doesn't say anything about it being version specific, which makes me think it's not really specific. |
