I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I have a general question about features in the ePSXe emulator that wasn't answered anywhere else. pSX has a fast forward function, and I like this very much for speeding up certain portions of games that aren't bypassable (like cut scenes, etc.) and I was just wondering if there was an analogous feature in ePSXe, or perhaps a plugin that made it available. There's also a mute function in pSX which is handy sometimes (including when I'm fast forwarding), and I wondered if there's an equivalent function on ePSXe for that also. I know some of you reading this are probably thinking, "If you like pSX so much, use that!" but pSX has a lot of compatibility problems with several PS games that I want to play, and it seems like development for that emu has ended completely. Thanks! |

In Pete's OpenGL2 plugin, under framerate settings, change the framerate to "FPS Limit 200" and press End, PgUp/PgDwn to switch between 60fps to ~120fps. Make sure you click "Show FPS display on startup".

What about a mute function? Edit: I can't use OpenGL2, most likely because I have an Intel video card. Does this work with earlier versions? Edit: I tried doing this in OpenGL 1.77 and it doesn't seem to do anything at all. ): Also, I don't really like the fact that you have to open a menu and toggle options. In pSX there's just a fast forward hotkey that immediately toggles it on when pressed, and off when unpressed. That's what I'm looking for. Last edited by Zodiacthesis; June 26th, 2011 at 01:38.. |
