FFVII [US Version] Can't get past Sony screen!

I recently ripped a copy of FFVII of my disc copy. Upon playing it, I found that it wouldn't get past the screen that says, "Sony Entertainment *blah blah blah*" I downloaded a rip from the ever-so-handy interwebs and found that it had the same error. It's not that it's not loading, it's that it's taking FOREVER to load. I've been waiting 10+ minutes and it hasn't finished.
My Specs:
2.83 Ghz
4 Gigs of Ram
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

Oh, almost forgot. FFIX and many other games work beyond perfectly, so I don't think it's my computer.

My Config:
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: Intel
GFX card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Resolution/Color:
- 1280x800 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 1
- Keep psx aspect ratio:
- No render-to-texture: on

- Filtering: 0
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 0
- Framebuffer effects: 0
- Framebuffer uploads: 1

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: off
- Shader effects: 1/1
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: off

I know you said other games work perfectly but Mobile chipsets have very crappy graphics capabilities. Especially with OpenGL from what I have heard.

Try it out using Peops soft plugin.

Wow... that plugin was... amazing 0_o. Thanks. I knew my chipset sucked, but I thought my processor and RAM would make up for it.
