Unhappy Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia fps trouble

Hi, first of I'm new to this emulator.

I just started playing this game using no$gba 2.6a with no$zoomer 2.3.0.1.

The fps drops from 30 all the way down to 10 sometimes, even without using any filters.

My system is this:

windows vista 64 bit
intel core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
6gb ddr3 ram
gf gtx 295

Somehow I feel like I should be able to run 5 of these games with ease.

Any tips?

I believe I found the culprit! I chose disabled gamepads in the no$gba emulator and my fps jumped from 8-15 to a steady 30 (some filters unfortunately put me at 25 fps though).

Using another software that maps buttons to keyboard, so that I can still play with my gamepad.

Cheers!
