AMD vs Intel (2010)

The poll in the stickied thread like 2 years old. Many people must have changed their stance during that time so I thought it'd be nice to see some up-to-date statistics.

Old poll:
Quote:
AMD: 28.22%
Intel: 71.78%
I don't really see this poll being any different.

Seems like your i7 got you over your previous "Screw Intel, AMD ftw!" stance.

Yeah but there was already a 60W version of the Q9550 with the same name so what does the Q9505 change about the already refreshed Q9550 60W version?

I voted for AMD, its also a CPU that does the job and not completely useless.

AMD CPU's are cheap and offer almost the same performance as INTEL

Ah I just remember you complaining about GTA4 running bad with pretty high-end stuff (though I knew you had gotten rid of some of your stuff to pay for rent or something like that) so I was curious what you had reverted to now.

Yeah, I was trying to get away from obsessive computer use and I screwed up some bank accounts.

Over the years I've had quite a lot of different parts, started off here with a pentium 4 and 8600GTS lol

Without the underdog, the big bad guy will trounce on everyone! So vote for underdog by necessity.

Although if one would give me a free Core i5 or i7 to sway my vote.... But with motherboard as well, even core i5 mobos are still quite expensive....

I'm thinking about going AMD A Phenom 965BE and a ATI 4890, it's cheap as hell, and besides, I want to try out some Quad... Intel is expensive as ****! I mean even a ****ty I5 is like 360 USD! Eventhough a like Intel a lot, it's just to expensive. And then their MOBOS, ****!

So i have to say, for now, AMD.

BTW: isn't a i920 close to a Phenom 965BE at stock speeds?
