DeSmeME Problem - Crackling Sound

Hey everyone! i'm having some trouble with the Desmume emulator. I find that whenever i play a game that has a video sequence (the intro video for prof. layton for example) the sound crackles. its okay during the rest of the game, but pops up occasionally when somethings loading. i think it may be a buffering problem, ie: my laptops maybe not loading it fast enough, but dont know anything about this sort of thing so im not really sure where to go from here

is there anything i can do??

im running version 0.9 on a macbook pro with leopard
i dont know what other info to provide...

thanks in advance!!

Edit: looking at it now the video doesnt play particularly smoothly either. is there anyway to increase the buffer rate. ive tried the frame skips and double speed options in the emulation menu, the first doing nothing and the latter simply speeding up the crackly sound.

No, nothing that you can do. It's either related to simply buggy sound or the speed the game is running at neither of which you can really do anything for.

thanks for the reply
so is it an issue with the computer not handling it correctly or would it make a difference to download alternative files? (i assume not)

Well either your computer can't play the game fast enough.
Or the sound emulation on DeSmuME is still buggy.
