just get an e8200 or wait, getting a an e6xx0 processor would be a waste now 45nm is out (for overclockers anyway )

This seems like dejavu, cuz I think I had this conv with you before but... You live in newyork one of the tech capitals of the world so don't limit yourself to ONLY cyberpower, go to any of the 100 reputatable computer dealers in your area and get them to build you a custom computer with an e8400. Better yet if something breaks down, you don't have to ship it back and wait weeks for it to be fixed. You can just go down to the local computershop and have it fixed in 1-4 days. If you must buy from a online dealer, also check out iBUYPOWER: Custom Build Gaming Computers Desktop PCs, Notebooks their prices are comparable to cyberpower's.

You on the otherhand are fine with your e4xxx proc because you don't try running pcsx2 on it.

he is...otherwise he wouldn't be asking about cpus Quote:
He should definitely get a wolfdale They're priced cheaper compared to the equivelant 6 series, like an e8200 is cheaper than an e6750 (even at the currently inflated prices) getting a 65nm core 2 would be just illogical. unless JudgeDreadLocks can get a stellar deal on one

![]() i upgrade to Q6600 but for other reasons and not for PCSX2.... people upgrade all the time with the hope to get better results.. and yes you get them but is not worth at the moment to spend all that money to run un-optimized software. anyways if you want to build a new puter i recommend to buy one of those e8xxx.. they cost almost the same as the e6xxx ones and have more capabilities... but if you already own a e6xxx i don´t see the need for a upgrade.

Why do you think I throw the people asking about it into Hardware discussion half the time? I got mine because everything I do is faster. Everything I do goes zoom zoom zoom! Hell, the only game I beat on PCSX2 was Disgaea 2. |

Mwave.com: Build Your Own System mwave is another possibility as $80 to assemble your PC and test it doesn't seem too cut-throat.

Ive been hitting up microcenter for the last few months and their prices are pretty good. just dont expect tech support at the higher level. I asked a worker there a question about dual cores. he didnt know what one was, since he directed me to the PCI and LAN card area. And a female worker there told me that theres no difference between sata, sata 2 and E-Sata. (Actually, she said theres no such thing as E-Sata) I asked her if they sold hdds with 32mb cache. she laughed, winked at her coworkers, and directed me to a 320GB HDD (8mb) and explained to me that they stopped making 32mb hdds years ago. She told my friend (who was building a comp at the time) to get an Ultra PSU since it was on sale-550w for $49.99 When we got it home, it lasted for aproximately 8 minutes before kicking the bucket, taking the Asus M2-R32 550 Crossfire motherboard i sold to my friend with it. My personal favorite-I wanted to screw around with them so I asked what an IRQ was (memory allocation) and was directed to computer software "Test Your IQ on Your Computer!!($69.99)"

![]() reminds me of the girls working at EB Games. Some know their stuff but many know almost nothing about videogames or consoles. They are just hired there because of equal gender hiring business regulations.
