Virtual Jaguar v1.0.0 GCC/SDL source release
For the people who want to enjoy a cool Atari Jaguar emulator on their GCC platform can now rest
Here's the initial source release of Virtual Jaguar v1.0.0 under the GPL license. It's a fast port so don't count on extra's and sound emulation was not started on (I really need to dig more into DirectX sound calls). But it runs/compiles correctly (don't be alarmed about the warnings that come up) on BeOS, Linux, FreeBSD and WIN32 using mingw (all on x86 machines). Here is a snip from what's implented :* Virtual Jaguar v1.0.0 GCC/SDL initial release : * Converted VC++ assembly to standard GNU assembly; * Fixed small bugs in SDL related items (keyboard/graphics); * Added *some* optimalisations to the graphics sources; * Added joystick support (not tested); * Added joystick port support (not tested); * Added frameskip support; Source only release. Tested on BeOS, Linux, FreeBSD and WIN32. SOUND emulation was NOT done. Need help with this one ![]() You can grab the download from here. Feel free to discuss about this release in this thread ![]() -- update -- The compile on Linux systems seem to run fine on Redhat distro's but probably not on others. Some distro's just don't like asm distributed over several lines with " at the end. You could change it yourself or wait for a new package release.
