Need SSF Help

Attached is the error I get when I start SSF. I understand that is not Japanese, for some reason it will not display it in Japanese even though I have East Asian language support installed.
Anyways, I'm guessing that this is saying I didn't specify a game.
Is that right (and how do I do it) or is the error something else?

I have put in a boot.rom.

I think if you find the english folder you can copy that into the japanese folder and then it'll display the error in english. Works like that for me

I did that and instead it returned "It failed reading a file." This prompted me to try a slightly older version, and lo and behold, it worked. So in a way you helped

Re: Need SSF Help

Menus and error messages in SSF can be changed to English by editing the "default" file in the "message" folder with wordpad. In that file, you should see:

japanese
English

Change that to:

English
Japanese

Or just:

English

Then save the default file. Now all menus and error messages will be in english.

That was the problem With .7 you need to name the bios bootrom.bin.
The older version I installed, .6, uses boot.rom
