Re: Saturn Compatibility list

2 conclusions then :
1. your first images was good
2. thoses games aren't supported

I had some spare time today, and I tested 2 games on the last Satourne version :
Andretti Racing : black screen after sega logo,
Samurai Shodown 4 : ask for a ram cart

I will do more tests later ...

Re: Saturn Compatibility list

Well i think the problem with Sega Touring Car Championship (PAL) is the clock setting part, don't think Satourne handles that.

About you testing, thanks for helping out could you just tell me the satourne version and settings and the game format (pal or ntsc) so i can add them to the list?

And about those games that have the extra cartridge, is there any dumps going around and if not is there any device that could dump them?
Or maybe a way to emulate it...

edit: Added the Games Tags to the list.

Re: Saturn Compatibility list

Well, the Satourne version is the last available (1.0.2), and the plug-in was interpreter 1.1.
SS4 is J, and Andretti Racing is E

I don't have any info on the ram expansion cart ...

Re: Saturn Compatibility list

I've updated my list. There's about 20 more games on it.

Re: Saturn Compatibility list

I've started making a new compatibility list for the new version of Satourne. It's at http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/red__x...lity_list.html. It's still very incomplete, but I've found that The Legend Of Oasis runs near perfectly.

Guardian Heroes

I tried out Guardian Heroes with both CD plugins, and with the second plugin I got past the intro screen to the title screen, but it freeze's there. So its unplayable still... =(

I tried Guardian Heroes as an ISO file and booted it up on Daemon Tools, at least it still loads up like that. =)

I will try out Nights later on since that list Red_XIII made says that Nights is playable with Minor Graphical Glitches. I just wanna get these Saturn games working for once. =)

So far this emulator looks like it might be a possible success in the future, but anyways I attached some pics of how far I got booting up Guardian Heroes.

Re: Saturn Compatibility list

Great News!
Those (Guardian heroes NiGHTS) are one of my favourite games. HI can't wait until they're fully playable.

Red, could you post about how you get Nights to run? I tried using the B CD plugin and I get past the SEGA in blue letters screen. Then it just turns to a black screen and stays there. I would appreciate any help you can give . Thanks alot.

I had to make an image of the game and mount it on a virtual drive, maybe I should of included that in my list, but other people have had it work using the CD.

Hmm.. thats what I am doing right now, I have a .cdi image of Nights and I mounted it with Daemon Tools. Is there anything special with the options you had to do to get it running? So far I just installed all of the plugins, customized my buttons, then I load the game and run. But it doesn't get past the Sega screen for some reason.

Are you using the CD Block B plugin? This game doesn't work with the A plugin.

Yes, I am using the B plugin with Nights. Once the sega screen goes, nothing else happens or the emulator crashes.

press the start button quickly while the game loads up (to bypass the opening movie) to prevent the game from locking up.

Well it seems Bobi has finally finished the compatibility script, so it's time to move this most to the proper place.

I've already gave it a go and added an entry to Satourne Compatibility List but made a mistake in the rating, so i would like to know who's approving the entries so I can ask him(her) to delete it.

Also how does the rating work? 1 to 10 score seems to be very vague...

Read the RULES TheMom. Illegal discussions such as "finding iso's" is against NGEMU's policy.
