Very likely a false positive, if its an executable untampered with (as in, it wasnt infected from your comp after you got the original executable).

This is the first snag like this I've encountered lol Otherwise I haven't had a virus attack in months!

ALmost 100% a false positive. Couldn't have become infected after entering my PC, the @ES archive would fail to download, gave an error saying "The source file could not be read" the second download would complete. Plus I'm pretty certain my PC is clean atm. All my testing with dangerous stuff nowadays takes place within the safe confines of a VM.

mmm very interesting..... well am aware that few of my techniques could be detected by antivirus as a virus or trojan maybe but i doubt thats the case as i had ESET smart security a while ago and i got no warning. btw are you using the old build or the new beta one?

he probably has his heuristics set to very high because the behaviour of the app is technically a trojan since it access other apps and injects the settings into them

Yeah I too didn't experience this problem when I had v3. Currently I'm using v4.0.68 beta (even though 0.314 is out I'm too lazy to download it ).

Not sure about that, but the "Advanced Heuristics" option is checked in the AV setup.

Anyway, the problem is easy to fix, I just added @ES to the AV exclusions list, so that it won't automatically delete the exe next time I double click it.
