Very pleased about that, I have been into emulators for years and now my kids are also but they are sometimes confused by it all, I have tried a few frontends before but never really got on with them but yours looks very pretty and has a lot of potential, Keep up the good work

I pumped for the HTPC menus! I just wish they put out hardware that can pass lossless 7.1 over HDMI port on the PC...

Was my fault actually i forgot to un-comment the PSX, PS2, DC Banning code from the "LoadCovers" function.. so the CRC check was on and as you may know CRC check of files that big can take a while plus is un-necessary

as you can notice in the first post iīve uploaded a new fixed package

Enjoy!

UPDATE:

The problem seems not to be fixed... itīs a problem while switching between menus that doesnīt get the right text at the right moment causing a bug that leave the CRC check on.

iīll fix and update the file soon

again sorry for that

the new fix for quicker loading of files is out.

Fix:Crashes when you load up folder files in emu and videos, or slow loading of files.

//File doesnīt exist because itīs already in the package of the main post

Don't press it in the menu, it's the fullscreen function for emulators and videos.
So use it while playing a game/video.

Fullscreen menu will come in the future.

New Bugs Fixed!

Two bugs were found by Sceptor and Shadow..
  • When trying to add a cover @ES Crash or took to long to add the Cover which wasnīt compatible or visible after re-booting @ES or scrolling.
The bug was caused because even with restriction and banned sections the code jumped to the CRC call.. causing the problem while applying the CRC to the file(Thatīs wrong of course) and even worse.... it stored the file with the CRC encrypted code.

  • When browsing the Audio-Controls menu the message layer appear and dissapeared while playing the song and no text was displayed.
This was caused because i re-wrote the entire filter code allowing .zip or rar files to be loaded(as long as supported by the emu) and i forgot to activate the timer responsible for the time displayed in the Audio controls..

Both bugs are fixed now so please re-download the file again from the main post no more bugs of that nature should appear now(I hope) so i can finally add the rest of the features

Changes:
* The message time in the Audio layer is set to 01 instead of 05 this mean you donīt have to wait too long to see the song information!
* By Fixing the timer bug in the Audio layer the next song will be played correctly again and not stop as it did before

Sorry for the bugs but am just a human

if you find any other bug please report it to me and iīll fix it as soon as i can

This problem will be fixed very soon, keep an eye out for beta 4 (final fix) which will be uploaded shortly!!

Just as a note to everyone updating to this one, please go into the playlist folder and delete the N64 and GBA playlists and drag and drop the folders for them again! (It will take up to 2 minutes for the playlists to be created, but you will not have to add your covers again)
This is needed for the CRC check to work properly!!

After having problems with the new CRC code i decided to take some time(National free day here) and check out whatīs going on with it and why are people getting problems... after 8 hours checking, fixing and adding features i was able to complete a new build that will "DEFINITELY" fix all the problems you guys are having.

I re-wrote the CRC, filter and section handling code in order to get it work as it should so please read carefully the changes and new features.

Features and fixes:
  • Better CRC code and speeds
  • Better Section handling
  • .zip , .rar or any other file type supported by @ES filter can be loaded with the emu and sections!
  • Easy-setup! if the emulators arenīt found @ES will open up the commondialog and you will be able to look for the emulator executable... after that @ES will setup the emu for you! so no need to edit the Settings file manually anymore
  • Speed issues fixed
  • Better cover loading code
  • Sega GameGear and SegaCD sections added
  • CRC process cache(affects only N64 and GBA sections...read note)
  • CPS3,MAME,PSX,N64,DC,GBA,SNES,Genesis,PS2,GC,NES, FBA,SMS,MCD,SGG are fixed sections so donīt rename them or mess with it.
  • Executable size reduction from 692kb to 630kb

Note:
  • Please delete N64.@af and GBA.@af from the "Playlists" folder and drop your roms again to those sections... it will take few minutes to process the CRCīs but its just done once. after that you will be ready to get future cover packs

Last but not least please report any bug found or just write a feedback

Download the newest beta from the main post and enjoy!!

First of all, Great work
Meh, I've encountered a bug. When choosing your media files, you can right-click which will bring the scroller up. Then, when you scroll to the right and back to the left and release the scroller, some folders appear. You can click them and they lead to nowhere.
Dunno, if that is a known bug but it seemed rather odd to me.
