Try just creating a games folder somewhere and dropping all the games in there and then dragging that across.

Well that would be awesome if it happens!!
Both @ruantec and I love zsnes and would love to see it supported in the future!

OK, this is where I read it from (the part in bold):

News: April 1, 2008 - End of the line

As many of you have probably noticed by now, I no longer update this site. I have had a few "revival" plans for this site, but as i am no longer actively involved in the emulation scene these have all fell through. I will keep this site up for archival purposes for as long as the ads support the yearly costs, but unless a developer specifically requests a WIP to be made/posted it'll no longer be updated. I will however try to keep the latest official versions mirrored here. For a parting gift, here are three 'milestone' SVN builds of ZSNES, DO NOT request any help on these binaries whatsoever, as the binaries are untested by me and the code outdated. No sources will be released, as they are publicly available on SVN. 4538 is the last post-1.51 version before major core changes.
Windows
DOS
5124 is the last DOS version
Windows
DOS
5192 is the last version before the new QI GUI was implimented
Windows
I would like to thank everybody who has helped make this site what it was.
First and most of all Kaede, who pushed me to make the site in the first place and has been a dear friend ever since
eSoul: for giving me my first mirror so people didn't have to endure the horror of my 26.4kbps dialup connection
All of the various hosts i have had over the years, without you guys this site would have died long ago
The entire ZSNES team for allowing me to join their developer community, and putting up with my pointless babble all these years
And of course everybody else who i have forgotten that has helped/encouraged me over the years!
Farewell,
ipher
Will @ES be able to run ZSNES with the QT GUI? I hope so, because VBA-M will be using the QT GUI. If it doesn't work with ZSNES, it won't work with VBA-M.

Yes since I didn't know the 5192 version.
But the links in both your post and iphersite were wrong.
It should be http://files.ipherswipsite.com/zsnes/ZSNESW_5192.zip

On second thought,I shouldn't down zsnes SVN because the new sound core was still not integrated

THE @ES SET-UP GUIDE!!!!

THIS GUIDE IS TO HELP PEOPLE SET-UP @ES FOR FIRST TIME USE

STEP 1
------

Go to the "SETTINGS.@CF" file and right click it with your mouse and choose to open it with notepad"

STEP 2
------

Now looking at the first picture below you will see the folder path to the .exe of the emulator NullDC after the "|". Change the path to reflect where your exe is for NullDC but do not put the .exe file it self here (That is in the next step)

For example on my computer I click D drive > Emulator's > NullDC Beta and this where I find my nulldc.exe
So in my case this section after the "|" reads D:\Emulator's\Nulldc Beta

STEP 3
------

Now if you look at the 2nd picture you will see circled bit tells @ES what the name of the .exe file is!!
In this case you will see nullDC=nullDC_100b1_6.exe as the default setting

Now ignoring the "nullDC=" part at the start we have "nullDC_100b1_6.exe" as being the name of the .exe file to run nullDC.
Change the part after the "=" to be the same as the name of your .exe

STEP 4
-------

NullDC is now set-up!!

Just repeat these steps in each line until you have all the emulators you have that @ES supports set-up and make sure you click save when you are finished!!

STEP 5 - adding roms to @ES
----------------------------

To add a set of roms open @ES, go to games and choose the console that you wish to add roms for!!

You will see a blank screen except for the words "Drop your folders containing your files here"

now make sure your roms are first NOT zipped (@ES does not support zipped roms, The only exceptions to this being in the MAME, FBA and CPS3 sections, only these 3 emulators support zipped files in @ES)

Having made sure your files meet this rule, drag the FOLDER containing the roms to the TOP half of the @ES screen (Do not try and drag the roms themselves as this will not work!)

After a very short moment (Usually just a few seconds your games should be appear on the screen as a cover-flow style look)

Again repeat this step for all the consoles you wish to add roms for!!

STEP 6 - Final step
-------

HAVE FUN!!

Just one last thing, I do not suggest having your games in the same directory as the emulator (and then adding that entire directory to AES which also contains the emu base exe). I did that for Project64 and nothing would start. So instead rather create a new folder and drop only all your games in there and drag and drop that into AES.

Just a thought about setting AES up,

In the future you might want to add these settings into AES with a clean GUI so the user doesn't have to set the emulator paths in a text file. I believe it would make things more user-friendly.

Also, just wondering, is zipped roms going to be supported at all or do I need to unzip all of my roms?

that´s the main reason why the beta 4 is delayed a bit.. am concern about the fact that the settings file isn´t easy to configure for some users and also the use of .zip files should be added aswell

i think i need to stop(for now) coding @ES future engine(OpenGL and D3D in C++.net) and get back to work

Specifically .7z support, as I imagine most of us either have Goodsets or TOSEC sets we're working with. You know how if you open up a zipped gameset in Nestopia, you get a little window that lets you choose the dump you want to use, then it (I imagine) extracts the file to some sort of temp folder to be used by the emulator, or something like that? How awesome would it be to have that feature implemented into @es in such a way that you could essentially do that for ANY emulator, .zip/.7z support or not?
Now, I don't know **** about writing code so I have no idea if this is feasible at all, but damn, it sure would be cool...

7z archives do not uncompress well in realtime (depending on the algorythms used at compression). Extraction to a temp folder isn't the proper way 7z/zip support is supposed to be.

Apply this to a 100 megabytes 7z file (who the hell would use 7z for roms when zip is the defacto standard??), and you 'll need dual cores for acceptable uncompression speeds. zlib's way is the more proper way.

Depending on the way used for zip support, it MIGHT "add" support to an emulator, but that'll be going the temporary folder route (a bad idea to me, but that's just my 2 cents). Pet ZIP, forget 7Z

I second the idea. I'm thinking about goodmerging my rom collection with 7z soon to organize my rom collection a little more efficiently (this method is a little more feasable with retro-roms Rikki, since retro-roms aren't that big and the uncompression time shouldn't be too taxing). If @ES supports unzipping 7z roms and then executing them in an emulator, then I would use @ES as my #1 emu frontend. This would be great for emulators like Kega which don't support goodmerged 7z files. Emulators that I use that don't support 7z are the only barrier that's keeping me from zipping my entire rom collection into 7z. I would suggest that @ES uncompress into the Windows temp folder as opposed to its own since I plan to run @ES and the roms from a CD (which would be write-protected).
