am planning to remove my filter which is causing the problem with zipped files... instead iīll use the sections to select the correct emu.

the reason why i donīt support .zip at all is because many emulators use this format to store roms.. is just silly somehow to open them or check them to see whatīs the game/rom format etc behind it. it could slowdown things alot.. so i think the use of the sections to select the correct emu is for sure the way to go

I get the loading problem in @ES every time I try to run a game. Damn, I'm running my ROMS off of a DVD with all of my roms zipped. Just about everyone has their roms zipped. Is there any chance that games for systems other than CPS3, Final Burn Alpha, or Mame will support zipped roms in the future?

Edit: Nevermind, just read @ruantec's post.

Whoops TCOS, take a look at @runatec's last post. He said he will change the method to allow zipped games to run again.
I had already brought this up with him aswell as soon as I found out and it seems he has found a solution.

Delete your porn.

Seriously though, back up everything on a DVD and delete them off of the hard drive to gain more space.

Speaking of porn!

People may have noticed that your whats playing now message in msn changes based on not only what song your listening too but also what game your playing and what vid your watching!!

We planned to remove the video side of this feature because we thought people with porn may not like it advertised to all there msn contacts that they are watching it

So just as a warning
@ES WILL ADVERTISE TO YOUR MSN CONTACTS YOUR WATCHING PORN

To play it safe you can either not watch porn with @ES or turn off the "whats playing now feature" in msn!

We a have found the problem with slow nullDC performance!!

I haven't spoken to Raksmey1309 but I can almost guarantee he has the same prob as Czez has.

Due to the processes that nullDC uses it pushes laptops to ALMOST bottleneck, so when running @ES even though its only a low powered process running it pushes your laptop over the edge and causes slow-downs!
Its the exact same problem caused by pcsx2 on laptops!!

It actually has to do with the heavy usage the front-side bus and Northbridge have to cope with that desktop computers don't need to worry about so much!

We will have a new drawing method implemented later which will cut @ES usage a great deal and should stop this problem with Nulldc running on a laptop using @ES, but due to the fact that it means a major re-write of the drawing methods @ES uses to display the picture on screen this will not happen till the next full release (@ES - shadow)!

For this reason if you are using @ES on a lap-top it is not recommended to control NullDC or pcsx2 with @ES for now!
But if you have created playlists and set-up covers already you can leave them ready for when this does occur!!

@ Raksmey1309

If you are not using a laptop please let @ruantec or myself know and we will try and sort the problem for you!!

I have a desktop single core P4 3.0Ghz 1Gb ram and a 256mb GF 5700LE maybe because of the cpu is crap but when i use nulldc alone game run at almost full speed.

I think NullDC is pushing your CPU to the edge.
@ES uses very little cpu power when running an Emu, but it may just be enough to push it over the edge.

My last puter was a P4 2.6Ghz cpu with 512MB ram.

NullDC was pushing it to its limits and never quite got to full speed. (about 45 - 50 fps in all games) So I am assuming that the extra 400mhz is enough to reach full speed, but just not enough to run the @ES process as well

If it was possible to over-clock your you cpu to say 3.2Ghz you may find the prob will go away, but that is just an assumption

Are you planning on a pc upgrade anytime soon?
