I've a major problem
Alright, I've been trying to play FFT on PSXeven, but after say 30mins, my PC automatically reboots even though I have not touched the restart button or accidently shut it down by ALT-F4.
If you know how to fix this problem please let me know. Thanks. Btw, the specs of my PC is: AMD Athlon XP 2100+ nVidia GeForce 2 MX400 (latest drivers downloaded) 256MB Ram Running on Windows 2000 Service Pack 2. So yeah, if you know PLEASE let me know!!! Thanks |

Re: I've a major problem
well the problem might be that your computer is just getting so hot that it restarts (which is why i suggested to clean it).
is it really hot where you live? in the north hemisphere its winter...so probably not (unless you are down south )

Re: I've a major problem
Well I live in Australia... um my PC gets to about 50-55 degrees C...
But none of my other games reboot... it's only when I run the emulator... I might just try to play it on my other computer... and see how well that goes lol |

Re: I've a major problem
well....its summertime for you then (almost).
emulation pushes a computer/gfx card very hard...so thats why. your computer might just be getting overloaded when you play. try closing the other programs |

Re: I've a major problem
open the case of your pc, it might cool a little bit the system, just to see if it reboots....

Re: I've a major problem
Already tried that, and it still reboots... I have absolutely no idea, I've scanned computer to make sure no virus/worm or anything, but there's nothing there.
It still reboots even though I have tried many suggestions... When I use emulator, I don't have any other program open... |

Re: I've a major problem
Off topic:LOL i did not know this, tanks for the info.
On topic: Also check the other plugins. and lower them to the max. Afterwards increase a bit the quality unltil the emu restart. Finnaly i would recommand to buy a ground floor fan and putting it near your comp, putting your comp in a basement and/or alt-ctrl-del all non essential programs/procedures(winxp/2k)

Re: I've a major problem
Are you up to date with all of you windows updates? It might sound silly, but it makes a difference. On my old pc I had the exact same problem, but after I did all of the windows updates it didn't happen anymore.
