Black Screen with Xevens CDR

Hi,

Whenever I use Xeven's CDR plugin I get a black screen of death on my computer which forces me to turn it off and turn it back on, because all I get is just a black screen with no feed back, it also does it if I have a CD in my cd drive while I try to configure the plugin. Does anyone know why?

Hey Xeven,

I'm using Windows ME. My settings are all on autodetect except for buffering which is asynchronous. Hope this helps.

Re: Black Screen with Xevens CDR

try setting it to your cdrom drive instead of autodetect.

Re: Black Screen with Xevens CDR

My guess is that you have more than one drive (be it virtual or whatever), and there is a CD in a drive before the one you are trying to use for the emulator. I had a similar problem till I realised I'd left an anime CD in my CD-RW (M while I was trying to play from my virtual drive (N

Re: Black Screen with Xevens CDR

Xeven: I went ahead and specified my CD drive this time. And when I tried to run a game, instead of the black screen, I get a blue windows error screen that says: "Windows Protection Error, you need to restart your computer, system halted"
So at least we're getting somewhere with that
And I did check my CD-RW drive, and I dont have a CD in there, but thanx for your suggestion Kane.

hi Gamerr123, you probably need to install newer aspi drivers then, try Forceaspi. Also if you want you can try cdrSaPu or maybe cdrPeops
