[FF9]Battle Music Problem
I have run FF9 in ePSXe and it works fine. Then I tried to run it under PSXeven. Basically, it works almost perfectly....with a small problem. All battle musics in PSXeven play really slowly, almost 2/3 of the speed under ePSXe. It's not a system slowdown thing because it's playing at that speed constantly, and there's no graphic slowdown. Something interesting is, the music under normal circumstance (like when you are just walking around) is perfectly normal.
I have recorded some pieces using Peop's Dsound Audio Driver 1.7 so everyone can have an idea. It's a compressed archive. There are two files, FF9f.mp3 is recorded under ePSXe, and FF9s.mp3 is recorded under PSXeven. You can get it here BTW, I have tried external spu 1.4.1, 1.4.0 and Peop's Dsound Audio Driver 1.7, they all have the same result. I have also fooled around with other options in PSXeven, and none of them actually affected the issue. Simplified Spec: AMD Duron 900 128MB PC133 SDRAM Asus V7700 (GF2GTS 32MB), DET44.03 applied. AC97 integrated $HIT Since I have tested with multiple sound plugins and played with almost all options, I will omit my plugin configuration. However, if anyone is interested, I will post them up later. Every help is appreciated! :-) Last edited by ME$$ENGER; July 7th, 2003 at 21:27. |

Re: [FF9]Battle Music Problem
you still have to realize that there are still problems with XA playing, even though most were fixed in the latest version. Did you try to use the interpreter engine?
