Problems running FF8

Sorri bout this but i've been trying to get FF8 running. everything works fine till i'm trying to get to the fire cavern on the first disc. i get into the world map but then the music loads but everything else doesn't

I'm using Peops soft plugin and i tired all the other Pete plugins
Xeven's CDR ( i tried various other cdr plugins as well) and PEOPS sound plugin

I'm thinking it might be something wrong with my cd. it gives me something about cannot read raw sector. If it is something with my cd, what can i do to fix it?

Sorri bout this and thx in advance

Hi Wang,

which version of FF8 do you have? (PAL, NTSC etc). Also could you paste the error messages?

Re: Problems running FF8

Try some of those CD repair kits they have at radioshack or other computer stores. If it's raw sectors, then you may need to enable 'raw' image making. I don't know about clonecd, but cdrwin has a "raw" option and an option to ignore error recovery. Psx game cd's usually contain data errors. They are used as a type of copy protection. But most cdr drives and software can bypass them.
