Question Skipping MDECs everywhere for me

Well I had everything running great, then suddenly my system starting acting really flaky in other areas. Considering it had been just over a year since my last format I decided to go ahead.

Using the latest version of PSXEven and CD plugin .92 or .93, no matter what game I use (I have tried about 10 so far), the opening movies are skipping and acting laggy. I have a TDK 40x10x40 and a 16x DVD and both do it now where before it was fine. ISO's do play fine, but I would rather figure out what I am doing wrong here.

Oh I did try installing ASPI, but this only caused PSXEven's CD plugin to not even be able to see my two drives. So that was promptly removed. Everything else I do with my CDROM's with or without ASPI installed seems to act normal. I am at a loss of the problem.

Any ideas?

kekeke LazerTag try using cdrSaPu see if it does any better. Also when using the default cdr plugin set it to "synchronous" instead, hopefully it'l do better.

No thanks on ePSXe, I like PSXEven too much.

I will try the plugin you recommend first chance I get. Just FYI, the CD plugin that was very first released with .16b of PSXEven had most of these games running fine.

Do you still have that version of the CD plugin and can I get it?
