I respect the decision of xeven, yet still i think he should think about it when things are a little calmed down. Also, the idea of continue the emu but only giving it to the people that its worth of it its really good but can we make the lamers to know that and make them cry?

Thats my opinion. If people are ****ting on Xeven because he was decent enough to put out his email so that he could offer better support for PSXeven and he gets crap because of it then his decision makes sense. I voted for keeping it alive though because punishing all because of a few ****ers and their childish activities is IMHO not ideal.

We're losing a great emu because some idiots lacked respect for it and abused it's feedback options.
There will always be people out there who will do stuff like this, they sem to get a kick out of ruining things for others and taking advantage of and abusing to those who are accomodating them.

It is really quite frustrating.... :mg: :disgust:

erm.... why'd ppl think its going to be discontinued?? didn't the announcement made, quoting Xeven, he's not going to release any versions to public only to his friends...?
blah....
anyways finally had time to try PsXeven, i like it's interface and it seems more easier to use then epsxe... the plugins, its easier to view what i have.. looks neater to me... gameplay, it works really nicely on the gmes i've tested so far
-__-
tis a shame to see no more releases into public =\

[edit]
plz dun yell at meeh
if its already stated in a post above mine... sorry

Greetings,

I'm sad to hear these news... I was already using PSXeven on a regular basis. It can run many games that give me problems in ePSXe and it has a wonderful GUI. These initial releases were awesome, and I was sure that this could become my favorite emulator.
But now thanks to these lammers who will never know how many hard work is needed to code an emulator, how many days of relentless coding we'll lose such a great emulator.
I'm no coder myself, I have very little skills in any kind of language, and I could never code an emulator, no matter how hard I tried. So I use the public ones, like ePSXe and PSXeven. Sometimes I had my problems, and sometimes I wished the authors released a new version. But I never, ever wrote one of them asking for fixes, new releases, or even asking for help. I know how their time is precious, and if I need help then I tried to get it with friends or on the forums.
I respect the work of emu authors very much, and I think the world needs more people like them (many people here on Ngemu deserve the same compliments). And I also hate these lamers who want the emus to play games for free, and they seem to think that the authors have an obrigation of coding further releases.

But it's Xeven's work, so it's up to him wether to continue or not. But I hope Xeven can reconsider his decision, and continue with his great emulator. I shall respect his decision, whatsoever it may be.

Live long and prosper.

Well, PSXeven is now up and online again with the release of 1.4, so I'm going to close this now.
