Savestating problem

Heya Xev, I really appreciate the fix you did for games that has the gameid in a subdirectory... sorry if I just got to test this now, midterms kasi eh... kailangan maka-graduate na. Anyway, it now does savestates of some Japanese games like Tokimemo Drama series, but another problem popped up.

You see, I can create savestates just fine, but the thing is, when I reload them, the music isn't there anymore... no voices, no BG music... nothing. And when i try to press circle to get to the next dialogue, it just "freezes" at that frame and doesn't do anything. It doesn' freeze the emu though, since the ESC key still works.

I was wondering if a savestate can help you fix this. Thanks and keep up the good work on PSXeven.

As a matter of fact, I do. It's not SPUasync though, but the defaults.

Does that have something to do with it? I'll check right now...

[edit] Yep, it worked. But how come it doesn't work with Eternal?

I just used the default PEOpS plugin. It really wouldn't work with me using Eternal, but that's a moot point now. PSXeven is my main man now.

Maybe you could share that fix with calb as well, so it could be implemented in the next release of ePSXe? 1.5.2 has the same problem with savestates, don't know if the ePSXe team has figured it out yet.

I asked calb to fix the savestates problem.

Well, here seems to be the fix for it. I guess all that's needed to be done is for Xeven to send over the code to calb, if the code is portable.

uh I'm having a problem with save states not working at all. when I play Capcom vs SNK I press save, and then later sometimes it loads but then it just disappears. No save state anywhere, but yet it's still in the state folder in psxeven. :\

Im a bit confused as to what you mean but im guessing the system.cnf file indicates the following line, "boot = cdrom:SLXX_XXX.XX;1" WITHOUT the "\" after ":" right? If it does, you'll have to wait for the new release.
