PSXeven Compatibility?

how does PSXeven's compatibility compare to PCSX? just want to get an idea of how far this emulator has come, since it's relatively new on the scene.

I can't say about PCSX since that one won't work on my system. But Xeven's fine emulator, from what I can see, already has excellent compatibility. I've tried Army Men 3D, Gauntlet Legends, Pac Man World, Ms. Pac Man Maze Madness, and FF IV with this emu. All ran flawlessly and except for the black border problem around the airship and elsewhere in FF IV they all loked superb. I tested Koudelka as well and the MDECs and cut scenes had a few problems, but otherwise that game ran well also. I believe t hat Xeven, himself, said that right now compatability is at around 55 to 60%. Excellent for such a new emulator.
sincerely,
sx/amiga

PCSX never ran on my system too, and I can't believe the compatability for PSXeven for a new PSX emulatorr

Even with compatibilityu does it have great speed, on the same level as ePSXe or much slower?

it has great speed some skips here in there in MDEC's, but once Xeven optimizes the core and other things, I think it will reach to ePSXe's speed

It's interesting to see how well this emulator is able to play Descent Maximum. Compatability seems to be right for this game

Yes it does Kirby All PSXeven need is speed improvements and I'll be happy (Descent Maximum runs at around 40-45 FPS).

I have tried a few games and from what I can tell, it has good compability. But there are some games which have problems:

Motorhead (PAL) doesn't load up at all, just get a blank screen.

Tekken 2 (PAL) has speed problems and major graphical problems.

Street Figther EX2 PLUS (PAL) has minor sound problems.

Gran Turismo 1 (PAL) the music plays to slowly and Omega Boost
(PAL) the music only plays a little bit slow.

Gungage (PAL) some of the graphics have too much brightness.

Ridge Racer Revolution (PAL) come up with an error "Track out of bounds".

Wipeout 3 (PAL) you can only view the opening mdecs no more, can't actually play it.

Eagle One Harrer Attack (PAL) is unplayable because you can't see anything on the startup menu.

Tenchu 1 (PAL) is unplayable as you can't see the start up menu again.

Please note that all these games were run from Iso's. Also please don't flame or anything for me saying that these games have problems, as I do realise this is a relatively new emulator. But if you don't let the author (who I hope will read this) know what problems with games there are. They will never get fixed

Use xeven's "no sound" plugin. No skipping and no weird noises.

On a serious note, eternal spu is giving all right sounds to me.
