Wolkenkratzer (Japanese RPG) - works
Koukon no Ode: Ode to the Sunset Era (also Japanese RPG) - works
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (US NTSC) - works
Need for Speed 1 (US NTSC) - works
Unholy War (US NTSC) - works
Tomb Raider Chronicles (PAL) - works

Doko Demo Issyo (Japanese) - Music is looping and stuttering, but otherwise works (ePSXe doesn't even show the logo )
The only real problem with this game is, it needs a PocketStation. Is there any way to emulate a PocketStation?

Compatibility is really good in PS7
Please keep up the great work, Xeven (and fix the two games from my last post )

noigear, nope no Pocketstation emulation. Been tried, been dropped.
Speed wise, in Xeven's emulator, the only game for me that seems to have a problem is Gauntlet Legends. It slows down and speeds up. But then I have a lot of effects activated in the plugin so maybe it is not a fault of the emulator. Army Men 3D runs at perfect speed w/no problems at all.
spajdr, Threads of fate is a hard game to get working correctly. It took the ePSXe team a while to get that one working as well. It used to freeze shortly into the game. Give it time and soon it will be working on Xeven's emu as well.
Great work Xeven.
sincerely,

That game is very picky about cd timing. not even ePSXe can run it without a little tweaking.

At least Descent Maximum works great now

No problem spajdr. I remembered about that from when it wasn't working in ePSXe and everybody was clamoring for it. Well, the ePSXe team got to work on it and they got it fixed. If they figured out what was going on with it, I'm sure Xeven can too, given time. Take care.

Couple more games working perfectly. Alundra 2 and FF VII. FF VII has some strange green lines around some things, but I think that that is due to the GPU plugin or my card and FSAA, not the emu. Alundra 2 is perfect. Medecs run at proper speed and Flint (the main character) responds perfectly to all controls. FSAA in this game is flawless as it is in the others I have tried. Just keeps getting better and better.:grin:

FFVII will have green lines when you use certain filtering methods. If you're using Pete's OGL, then I think that only two of them work, one of them being mode 0.

You need to set it to no filtering on 2D and 2xSai off.

Thanks Kane and Phoenix Flame, I'll give both of those a try. Other than the green lines, the game is perfect.

MGS NTSC: Works fine graphically. Runs slower than when running in epsxe though(framelimiting off). The sound and music are a little nitpicky. Eternal spu works fine, but after a bit of playing, the music gets all garbled. Especially in the conversation scenes and codec scenes. Peops spu plugin also has the same problem. Works fine at the start of the game, but slow and steadily becomes garbled.

Probably just a spu problem, but the epsxe internal spu plays music and sound in MGS almost perfectly. Maybe an epsxe internal spu plugin is needed.

Does anybody succeeded in loading "Parodius Deluxe Pack", japanese version (SLPM 86031) in PSXeven??
Last year, Calb tried to help me running this game on epsxe but didn't succeed...

The cd doesn't boot at all and keeps spinning...
Here's what is displayed in the debug window:

* BIOS Loaded Succesfully.
* Memory Initialized Successfully.
* SIO Init Complete.
* Root Counters2 initialized
* Mdec Initialized
* R3000 Cpu Reset.
WARNING: Unable to locate psx executable.
* Gamecode found: ¢¾ (<--in fact, it's really a heart shaped caracter!!!)
* Detected NTSC Disk
CTC2 sec op.
CTC2 sec op.
-- >> ESCAPE << --
WARNING: Unable to locate psx executable.

So... looks like PSXeven is unable to locate psx executable...
When I try running either of the psx-exe(s) (in the root directory of the cd)... the result is the same...
Any advice...?

I tried the PEOPs spu and it works fine, but after a few conversation scenes, the voices starts to lag behind the video.. Which inevitably leads to garbled sounds as the cutscenes continue.. I think it happens when there are lots of motion blur(aka framebuffer) effects happening which slows down the game a little.. And the spu can't compensate for it..

I've also tried spuasync on the eternal spu, but the same thing happens.. Since the spu is playing async to the video, there isn't as much garbled sounds at the start, but once the voices and video start to desync a lot, they come back.. I can see that the video of the conversation scenes end before the voices end.. And they start before the voices start.. I've also tested the mgs fix too, but it still gets garbly..

I'll do some more testing.. But i've tried almost every option and fix..

These problems are similar to how MGS use to run on epsxe.. But somehow the epsxe internal spu seems to have fixed them..
