PSXeven Freezes Dino Crisis
Everyone's bragging about how well this emulator called PSXeven works. I was lucky to get it working with one game. Even then it fast forwarded the intro. But here's the issue. I used to use EPSXE until I found out that it was worm/trojan according to my anti-virus. I decided I didn't want to take the chance of ruining my system, especially since it had been acting a little funny. So I took EPSXE off. Well, I used to play Dino Crisis on EPSXE with no problem whatsoever. It ran like a dream. With PSXeven though, it's a whole different story. It starts out normal, asking me to press start to load the game. I do so and a warning about the game, including gore and blood comes up. When, I ran it on EPSXE, all I'd have to is press the Start button one more time to progress past the warning screen. After a screen advertising the company who made the game, the main menu would come up. Now it just freezes at the custom gore/blood warning. Absolutely nothing will budge it. The world could be blown to cinders and the computer buried, but it still wouldn't move! What am I doing wrong if anything? I've tried just about every video plug-in that's suggested online to use with Dino Crisis. I've even tinkered with some of the little settings for each plug-in. And I know that Dino Crisis has to be a special version to be played on an emulator. I read about that when I researched playing it on EPSXE. The version I downloaded has a custom start screen (a purple start screen with Alladin and the names of the people who modified the image), but it worked just fine on EPSXE. Do I not only need a version that is a bin/cue but also is a perfect unmodified copy to get it to work on PSXeven?

Thanks for comming to emuforums but there isn't place for you here...
1-The emulator ins't a worm/trojan as you suggest, get a good antivirus... 2-You downloaded the game. 3-You got banned before. |
