I read there were slow performance issues on the original PSX for Driver 2.

How does the game play on the ePSXe?

probably crappy, just like on PSX

this game is 10x better if you turn off frame limiting though.

I just took some pictures yesterday of getting the tiny secret car.

I haven't put any effort into getting the menus to work correctly though.

hmmmmmm, i have driver 1 on pc, but i had driver 2 for psx, and using the emulators i could never get the screens to look that good. I have a new video card now, so i guess i will buy driver 2 over again, its only 2.99.

Nice screens man. Playing Driver 2 on psx is bad, very bad. Thank goodness for the emulators.

Driver ran poorly on my old Dell P4 laptop with nasty Intel Graphics. I haven't tried it on the home Dell which has AIW 9600XT 128mb card.

But need to complete SphFilter2 before I start another game...

I don't think it was needed to revive this thread for a comment like yours dj3monie.

Anyway, I think with the new videocard it should run better, as far as the real psx can handle the game.

And the person who posted all the screenshots should not wrap the attachment links in the [img ] [/ img] wraps!

yeah that was a pretty useless comment >_>

and in any case, Driver2 runs poorly on the PSX itself, so to emulate it perfectly is to also make it run poorly

What was actually wrong with the PSX version?
the only thing i can class as annoying from driver 2 is the slowdown when there are too many cars...

well if you ignore the fact that the game ran slow as hell ALL the time (and even slower when there was action)...the on foot controls are atrocious, the graphics are horrible compared to Driver, and the map design sucks--they discovered curved roads, and decided everywhere needed to have these huuuuuuuge curves.

first driving games of its kind....? that doesnt mean it doesn't play slow as sin! after you've been holding the throttle for 10 minutes in a straight line it still feels like you're going 30 miles per hour!!

not to mention there was Driver which came before it, which had infinitely better graphics, controls, and framerate.
