Final Fantasy Tactics w/ Pete's OGL 2.2

I just got this game... yeah, I know it's old and all, but it's pretty fun. The battle system looks extremely deep.

Anyway, on to the screenshots! I think I had 2xSaI enabled for some of these, but then I turned it to stretching. I would love to see HQ3X.

OK, let's try this again... I'm going to split it into two posts to lessen the likelyhood of being disconnected whilst trying to post.

See ? Much better without scanlines.
2XSAI, 4x FSAA, filtering set on 2.
Though I'm not a huge fan of 2XSAI for psx emulation.

Oh, small precision, these shots are with Pete's OGL 1.74, not 2.02

Re: Final Fantasy Tactics w/ Pete's OGL 2.2

wow dude, just wow. would you like to put together a coherent sentence? and try not to brag too much about your crapass computer...

why dont you look at the fact that somebody might have a better videocard than you and they can take decent screenshots.

i never see you posting any shots yet you are always dissing, and you are always saying your little MX POS is good. so quit the dissing, maybe post some shots?

Then we definitly don't have the same definition of "Image Quality", oh and, you might be surprised to learn that, TV-Out = scanlines.

we werent talking about TV out here were we? we were only talking about the SCREENSHOTS themself. and, whatever, it's fine if you like scanlines better. i like how you, with your crappy MX card, think you can do better than Raziel with a 5600u. maybe you should come back with some shots that have FSAA, 2xSAI at 1280x1024. with your crappy card ill let you do it at 640x480

me, a troll? you are the one that goes around telling people that their shots suck and that you can do better with an MX420.

I'm not a big fan of scanlines either but I have to say that Khan's shots look better mainly because I dislike the look of bilinear filtering on 2D bitmaps even more. It kind of makes the characters and text look all blob like for lack of a better term. Oh well different strokes for different folks.

Re: Final Fantasy Tactics w/ Pete's OGL 2.2

I'm just curious why we're using a 3d h/w-accelerated plugin for a game that uses 2d sprites.

I actually prefer P.E.Op.S. for FFT. The characters look so much better that way.

The sprites play against a rotating 3D, backdrop.

Yeah, that's why I use scanlines, because it makes the 2D sprites look a lot better. And I use Pete's OGL because bilinear filtering makes all the other textures look much better. :P

Anyway, FFT looks like a really great game, but I have a question. Is there any sort of thief class? Maybe it's something I don't get yet... I've been leveling up near the start, and haven't actually progressed far in the game yet. Also, what is the best class for Ramza? Knight? Monk? Something else?

Oh, and my power went out about 1 minute after I finished that first post... how ironic.
