[PEC] plugin hotkeys under Vista

Before I start here, I should tell you that I have jumped straight from Windows 98 to Vista, so I am ignorant of whether this is an issue on the interim Operating Systems. It may be, as my search through the forum here prior to posting this showed a lack of plugin functionality for many users.

I've enjoyed hacking my own modifications to PSX games ever since [pec] came along, but now that my old computer is finally beyond repair and my new one is unable to run the decade-old O/S, I'm having a problem.

[pec] the plugin requires the use of hotkeys (ctrl+a, ctrl+g & ctrl+h especially) for the better part of it's functionality, but since getting everything set up under Vista, these hotkeys no longer function.

I've tried setting the programs to various compatibility modes, but this doesn't work, and sometimes causes ePSXe not to recognize the CD/DVD drive. Since I'm new to Vista, I don't know if it is a matter of configuring the O/S to allow hotkey functionality, or something that needs to be addressed within the program.

Hopefully you guys are brighter than I am. Thanks for your help

Try running ePSXe with/without admin rights.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that a lot of ways - applied to ePSXe itself (both versions 1.5.2 and 1.6.0), to pec, to both, and unlikely as it may be, to front-ends used to run ePSXe. No matter what, the [pec] plugin hoteys still don't work. :/
