psjoy plugin?

Hi,

I received a psjoy converter for Christmas. It's simply a PSX->USB controller converter. However, I cannot get it to work with any existing plugin. I even tried a program that takes controller input and map it to text (which works fine in other programs), but I cannot get it to work.

Anyone have any experience with these? It's a real hinderance to my playing experience, since I really enjoy having a controller in my hands.

Thanks,
--Kevin

I have one, and I have it working just fine. My only problem is that Force Feedback worked for about 10 minutes then hasn't worked since.

I don't use any special plugins though. If you go to game controllers in your control panel, you should see your gamepad there. If you don't see it there, then you don't have your drivers installed properly. If that happens, unplug it from the USB port, and then plug it in again. Install the drivers as outlined in your readme file.

If you do see it there, then it is properly installed, and needs to just be configured for ePSXe. Select the configure menu, then gamepad, then pad1.

Map all the keys on your gamepad to the keys on the controller on your screen. Do this by clicking on the label for each button, then pressing the corresponding button on your gamepad.

Lastly, change the controller to digital/analog, and if your force feedback is working set the big motor to sin and the little one to constant (or vice versa. I forget which)

I hope this helps.

Hmm . . . a no go. All the buttons appear to work, as the utility under the Game Options section of the Control Panel shows. And I removed all the DX input plugins from the plugin dir. But when I go to config the controller, only the analog buttons work. I can't get any of the other buttons to work for some odd reason. Btw, I'm running epsxe 1.4.0 if that matters at all (latest version that I know of).

Thanks for your prompt reply,
-- Kevin

sorry for the delay. I was away for a while.

By the analog buttons, what do you mean? Are you talking about the two sticks? Are you using a PSone controller, or a 3rd party controller?

Alright, so just to be clear, this is what the gamepad configuration screen looks like when you configure your controller? All the button configurations should be the same, so this should be EXACTLY what it looks like.
