before installing the sdk, ff9 ran fine with petes d3d. but after i installed it i got no graphics. does anyone know whats up?
btw, i installed teh sdk in debug mode, not in retail. Windows 98 SE 4.10 (Build #2222) Intel Pentium III (0.25µm), 534 Mhz NVIDIA Vanta/Vanta LT (800x600x16) its alright now that i installed dx 8.1 runtime, but i really want to installed the sdk...... serioiusly i need major advice! :confused:

You can install both the runtime and the debug drivers, actually it is recommended that you do this, as your performance with the debug drivers will be less than optimal. There's a program (I think provided with the sdk) that lets you select with to run with the debug or the runtime drivers, and you can use that to switch to the debug ones when you feel a need for them.
